Homoeopathy

Homeopathy is a school of medicine founded by Dr Christian Frederick Samuel Hahnemann. He was born in Messien Germany in 1775 and died in Paris in 1843. By profession he was an allopath practicing with modern system of medicines. He was not satisfied with that system and the experimental and practical foundation for Homeopathy was carried out between the years 1790 and 1810.He expounded his system in Organon of the Rational Art of Healing (1810, tr. 1913). He practiced in Leipzig, Koethen, and Paris. Despite opposition, he gained a large following.

In the Year 1790 he observed that real cures were affected by drugs which produced similar symptoms in healthy human beings. On continued studies, he suggested a new way of ascertaining the specific curative power of a drug as:

That the action of drugs is demonstrable by observing the subjective symptoms, objective symptoms and pathological changes that occur when they are administered to healthy human beings.
That action of drugs so observed in healthy human beings, constitutes their therapeutic potentiality with respect to the sick individual.
That a similarity between disease process in a particular individual and the known effects of particular drug in healthy human being (known as drug providing of Homeopathy ) will lead to its successful application in the treatment of diseased individual (i.e. to bring a change in the altered dynamis).
The conception of dynamis (vital force-active-driving force) is applicable in respect of Health, Disease and Cure.

These propositions are fully expressed in the LAW OF SIMILARS, which is the foundation of homeopathic practice. It said "Simillia similibus curentur" - Let likes be treated with likes. The law of similar is a natural law. The term Homeopathy is in fact, derived from Greek, means Like Suffering.

In early days of Homeopathy the physicians were expected to prepare their own medicinal remedies. Nowadays, with the increased demand for Homeopathic remedies, physicians obtain their medicines from the reputed manufacturing companies like "BANGALORE HOMOEO PHARMACY".
